Adrian Nez
Master’s Student in Electrical Engineering
“I am a Master’s student in Electrical Engineering with a strong interest in advanced manufacturing and sensing technologies. My focus includes additive manufacturing methods such as Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), resin-based printing, and glass AM, alongside applications in drone inspections and drone-related operations. I am passionate about designing systems that integrate sensors to enhance automation, precision, and real-world functionality across engineering domains.”
Skills
I bring a diverse set of skills that span advanced manufacturing, drone systems, and semiconductor operations. I am proficient in additive manufacturing techniques including Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), resin-based printing, and glass AM, applying these methods to innovative engineering solutions. My experience extends to drone inspections and flight operations, where I design and integrate sensor-based payloads to enhance automation and precision. In the semiconductor industry, I have worked in both fab and subfab environments, gaining hands-on knowledge of process equipment, support systems, and cleanroom protocols. This includes direct experience handling dangerous gases and chemicals in subfab operations, which has strengthened my awareness of safety standards and technical precision. I am also skilled in creating clear and detailed technical documents that communicate complex engineering concepts effectively. Complementing these strengths, I have a solid foundation in circuit design, embedded systems, and signal processing, supported by proficiency in CAD tools, MATLAB/Simulink, and sensor data analysis platforms. Altogether, my skills demonstrate a strong ability to connect theory with practical applications while driving innovation in emerging technologies.
Software
I am developing strong proficiency in a range of engineering and technical software tools. My programming experience includes Python and C++, which I use for data analysis, automation, and embedded systems development. I am skilled in Arduino software for sensor integration and hardware control, and I have applied design platforms such as AutoCAD and Onshape for technical drawings and 3D modeling. In addition, I have experience working with NIX-based systems to support engineering workflows and technical computing, as well as familiarity with various vendor-specific software used in semiconductor and manufacturing industries. I also possess knowledge of government space agency documentation standards, including the creation, implementation, retention, and end-of-life procedures for technical records, which has strengthened my ability to manage compliance and precision in engineering projects.
Experience
All of my skills have been cultivated through a combination of rigorous education at NTU, hands-on internships, and valuable industry work experience. This blend of academic training and practical application has equipped me with both technical expertise and real-world problem-solving abilities, allowing me to approach engineering challenges with confidence and innovation.
